The X1/9 Lido Serie Speciale was a limited edition model of Fiat’s legendary mid-engined sportscar, launched in 1977. This hard-to-find special edition, based on the standard 1290cc model of the time, boasted some unique features which, added with its rarity, make it a sought after curio for classic car collectors and Italian car fans alike. Only 700 Lidos were ever produced for the RHD market, placing these right at the top of the X1/9 scarcity list.

We have restored one of these special cars here in the italicar workshop and, in doing so, have faithfully reproduced the exterior decals that identify the Lido Serie Speciale. Included in this kit are the following stickers:

• Lido script to be fitted to the engine cover, above the main X1/9 badge itself

• The X1/9 striped branding from the B-pillar (although the style of this does match other X1/9 models – the colour is unique to the Lido)

• The numbered label which is placed on the front wings including the Lido script, Nuccio Bertone’s signature and the 4 digit number unique to each individual model (please, when ordering, inform us which four numbers you require).

We have painstakingly replicated these decals from the originals as found on the low-mileage example we have restored. Originals direct from the manufacturer are long since no longer available, so we are confident that these will be the most accurate replacements you will be able to source. The fact that the very first car we chose to put these on was the Lido we have spent thousands of hours working on should hopefully give you an indication of their quality!

Designed and printed here in the UK, we have ensured that these are durable and will look as fresh as new for as many years as possible. With values of both X1/9’s in general and Lido’s in particular, these details could make the difference between a desirable classic and a concours show-stopper.
