This humble 2016 Fiat Tipo has been part of the italicar family some time now. It was used on a daily basis originally (for a long time this was the “dog bus” – used to ferry Star to and from the workshop), but for the past couple of years has been something of a courtesy or ‘back-up’ car. So, we know it inside and out, first-hand.
It boasts a full service history, including a new clutch fitted by us recently. We will renew the MoT once a sale is agreed, giving you a full 12 months’. It has covered 113k miles and it drives very well indeed – in fact, if you ask Star the dog we are sure she prefers her trusty old Tipo to the Giulias and Giuliettas she’s been demoted to more recently. We’ve kept it for so long only because it is such a comfy and economical car. The 1.6-litre Multijet diesel engine was quoted in the original brochures as delivering 76.3MPG. Now, that is a little optimistic in our real-world experience, but 6o+ is absolutely achievable. Tax costs just £20 a year and insurance is also on the lower side (group 15E to be precise).
Given its history, it is of course far from the most immaculate vehicle we’ve ever listed for sale. But it is absolutely more than presentable, inside and out. Please note, the car is currently on a private plate which will not be included in the sale.
We took a quick look around before listing it and, at our asking price, this appears to be one of the very cheapest Fiat Tipo diesels currently available. Surely this makes it superb value for money?
