Description
As you can tell from the background of the photos and videos on this ad, we’re no stranger to the Fiat Coupe here at italicar. Whether it’s owning them, selling them or working on them, this modern classic has been a part of our daily working lives for decades now. But, even in our fortunate position of knowing so many, it’s been a very long time indeed since we’ve seen one as good as this.
It is in truly exceptional condition. It has been in the same family since brand new (it was first registered in the owner’s company name, then his, then his wife’s) and they have adored it this whole time. It looks fantastic but, if anything, it drives even better; everything is tight, responsive and performs exactly as it should. We will be renewing the MoT for its new owner (it currently expires 25/08/2026) as well as treating it to a full cam belt service, meaning you will get to experience the much-loved Fiat Coupe at its very best.
There is a huge amount of service history in the file, indicating just how cherished this car has been. We’ve got every single MoT ever issued, the original tax discs, the service book boasts 14 stamps and there’s reams of receipts and invoices stretching all the way back to the Pre-Delivery Inspection report back in 1999. This rich provenance includes some recognisable names from the world of Fiat Coupe specialists over the years too; Torque Italia, PowerFIAT, PowerItalia and Italia (the original supplying main dealer in London) all get a namecheck. Stand-out work documented includes:
- Timing belt last replaced by PowerItalia 20k miles ago (we will renew it afresh before collection)
- Another timing belt replacement at 57k miles
- Clutch renewed 31k miles ago
- Genuine Fiat cat-back exhaust fitted 16k miles ago
It is almost 100% original – the only things added, removed or modified since it left the factory are, namely, the head unit and a hands-free kit. Literally everything else is just as it should be. It even still has the full suite of keys; red master, blue, chrome and remote fob. If we were being extra picky (and with Coupes, we are!) we’d mention some very minor wear to the leather steering wheel where it appears the driver wore a chunky ring. The centre console plastic has fallen foul of the usual “sticky” issue many Italian cars of this era experience, but we are happy to have this resolved once a sale is agreed. That’s literally it in terms of niggles – and we’re offering to sort one of them anyway!
Driving this is as close as we’ve come in a long while to driving a brand new Coupe, reminding us exactly why we fell in love with the model all those years ago. If you’re in the market for a ‘collector-grade’ Fiat Coupe, you need to book an appointment to see this one before it is snapped up.
