Alongside the classics and the restoration projects in our workshop, we’re also proud to get to work on the more up-to-date models too. We treated this lovely Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 TB QV Line to a MoT recently, and within weeks its owner had booked it in with us for a timing belt change, full service and new brakes all round.

We were really impressed with this hot-hatch version of the Giulietta. With 170bhp on tap from the 1.4-litre, turbo-charged engine it’s definitely deserving of the legendary Quadrifoglio Verde moniker. Much more than just a few bits of blingy bits thrown onto the spec, these models are going to remain highly sought after for many years to come, we’re sure.

But our absolute favourite discovery while working underneath the bonnet? The happy little doodle awaiting us underneath the engine covers! The car is barely 5 years old and this was it’s very first major service - we’re not sure the covers had ever been undone before, in fact. So this artistic addition must have been there since it left the factory. We always say that Italian cars are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and this just proves it.

The owner is currently planning on selling this car but, fear not, his planned replacement for it is a Stelvio. We look forward to seeing that and, perhaps, discovering a unique signature left behind by Alfa’s artisanal techs!
