Description

In 2015 Alfa Romeo announced its all new sleek RWD saloon car, the Giulia! In true Alfa Romeo fashion it stopped reporters in their tracks when unveiled at Arese and nearly 10 years on, it still stands out from the crowd.

THE MODEL

So the Giulia had landed and what an entrance it made. With the 500BHP Quadrifoglio version upsetting the likes of BMW M series and Mercedes AMG’s, it set an great path for its less fiery siblings to soon become a popular alternative to the German rivals.

This example is the highly spec’d Speciale with the 180bhp 2.2 diesel engine mated to the bullet proof 8 speed ZF automatic gearbox, which means it is an absolute dream to drive and just devours the miles with comfort and economy, easily returning 50MPG.

THE SPEC

The speciale trim level meant this Giulia was spared nothing when it cam to toys. She sits on her original Speciale 18” wheels with offset 225/40 (R) and 225/45 (F) tyres it gives for a surprisingly smooth drive, even on the bumpiest of back roads. The sports leather seats in contrasting Tan are incredibly comfortable. The extendable leg support, electric lumbar adjustment and electric squab adjustment, means even the fussiest of drivers (and passenger) will get comfortable in the cabin. And for that extra bit of practicallity the speciale has split rear seating.

 The car also benefits from great gadgets, such as:

THE CONDITION

This Giulia looks stunning! The paintwork gleams and the interior is like new. It has certainly handled its 83k miles well. However this is down to some recent repair work by ourselves, as when she came to us she had been in the wars a little! Yes, she has been in an accident which is recorded on the register. But using the same skills we use to restore the classic cars in our workshop, we set our hand at this more modern beauty and the results are outstanding, you really wouldn’t be able to tell where the previous damage was. We do have photos of the work carried out to share with any prospective buyer.

The wheels have got some evidece of kerbing which is common for this style and being the anthracite finish it can stand out but we have touched them in so they don’t look as bad as some can. The wheels are all true and tyres hold correct pressures.

Mechanically we have ensured she is as good as she looks. Before even starting the make over we carried out a major service with all filters and cam belt replacement. This included the segregation filter that can only be accessed after the belt is removed. The external tempreture reading was incorrect so we replaced the sensor and now it reads accurately. There are a handfull of other stamps in the service book and she comes with 2 keys.

We will issue a new MOT at point of sale although the current one runs through to May. There will also be a 3 month warranty included.

SUMMARY

So due to a previous altercation, that has now been fully rectified, you can make a huge saving on what a non damaged Giulia in similar spec and condition would be! I challange anyone to come and view the car and spot what has been repaired. Be quick though as I’m actually using this car personally and quite honestly falling in love with her!
